Florence Thornton: Waving Otter
Florence heard Ben speak at Cumbria University and after being inspired to go chat afterwards offered her help if any future projects took shape. Florence more had an idea of helping support other artists, getting lunch and lifting paint, however after seeing her illustration works, Ben had other ideas! Florence agreed to take one of the local artists showcase boards and produce her first large scale artwork live at the festival. Florence used acrylic and brushes to produce this playful character who grabbed the hearts of many festival goers and was a real hit with children. Since painting at the festival, Florence has gone on to take on more commissions for larger pieces alongside her illustration. We were glad she took up the challenge!
